Hong CHEN First Task
The link between form of object and type of motion, as well as the impact of motion on the form
of envelope, are the two major topics in my project.
In order that the object has more potential and smoothness
in motion, I developed it out of spheres and cylinders. Both ends are half
spheres to facilitate the rotate, while the connection part is a cylinder bent
along half circle to roll, and they share the same radius to move continuously.
Combining the two basic movement of motion, my choreography of 5 steps and 6 key points is developed. By tracing and
snapshotting the motion key lines and points, I created an outer shell
generated by the movement of the object.

geometry. Motion stop could divides the interior space of the envelope. There will be three hierarchy: Motion patch zone,Object zone and Intouchables. Intouchables will be the opportunity to experience the motion show. Learning from 2D, 3D motion is choreographed both horizontally and vertically. By the axis of the sphere, rotation enable the exterior skin fully attach to the envelope. As in 2D motion , 3D envelope was defined by choreography of motion.
